No Vocals, Massive Migraine, and one Hell of a Night: Inferno: An Untrustworthy Face

"The face was as the face of a just man, its semblance outwardly was so benign, and of a serpent all the trunk beside."

Work in progress without its vocal ambience!

This track is a bare-boned, late-night experiment recorded by lamplight on 22 August 2026, right after a walk through some local medieval grounds. I took a perfectly innocent mandolin, flute, and recorder, then threw them into a Sonic Colosseum to be absolutely mauled by a wall of percussion, electric guitar feedback, and distorted bass (because I have been a child of Jupiter in an utterly demonic mood).

Honestly, a massive migraine and tinnitus in my good ear have kept me completely out of commission for the last few weeks. But as I lay there suffering (and oddly smiling), I was egged on to get my arse in gear by the muffled wails, moans, screams, and general chaos of Saturday night pub-goers outside my window. Bless them for the perfect inspirational hellscape.

Grab some headphones or, even better, take off your socks, free your hooves, stand on a wooden floor, put a speaker on the ground, and stot in the devil's folly—while I savour some soluble painkillers. Yummy.
